Midwives across north Cumbria were as hard at work as ever throughout July, delivering more than 240 babies across the month.
Maternity teams at the North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust (NCIC) delivered a total of 247 babies throughout July – 132 boys and 115 girls.
Included in this total were four sets of twins.
Maternity units in north Cumbria are housed at the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle, the West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven and in Penrith Community Hospital.
