POLICE are investigating after a man suffered serious injuries in an assault late on Friday night in Bury.
The 44-year-old man was approached by two offenders in School Street before the attack.
He was taken to hospital with his injuries.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "Police were called shortly after 11pm on Friday 24 July 2020 to a report of an assault on School Street, Bury.
"A man was approached by two offenders who assaulted him.
"The victim, a man aged 44, was taken to hospital, where he remains for treatment of serious injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
