A MURDER investigation is under way after a man was stabbed at a house in Redditch.

Police were called to the house, in Guinness Close, at around 10pm last night (Wednesday July 15) after concerns were raised about the man's welfare.

 The man, in his 30s, died at the scene, he is yet to be formally identified.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called at 9.38pm, two ambulances, two paramedic officers and two BASICS emergency doctors attended the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance spokeswoman said: “On arrival, crews found a man in a critical condition. Staff worked as a team to administer advanced life support on scene to the man.

“Unfortunately, despite the best efforts, nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”

His family has been informed and is being supported by specially trained police officers.

Detective Inspector Ed Slough, from West Mercial Police, said: “Last night we were called to an incident where a man has sadly died. His family have been informed and we are supporting them through this traumatic time.”

“We have launched a murder investigation and our enquiries are ongoing. We currently have a scene guard in place. Anyone with any information is asked to call 101.”
