Police are appealing for witnesses after an incident of burglary on Abbey Road, Barrow, earlier today.
Officers were contacted at 12.23pm today (July 3) after four men forced their way into a house.
The victim, a woman aged in her 80s, was uninjured.
A man has been arrested in the Manchester area in connection with this incident. Officers are working with Greater Manchester Police to locate anyone connected with this incident.
Detective Inspector Mike Wallace, South Cumbria Crime and Safeguarding Team, said:
“We are appealing for witnesses to an incident on Abbey Road earlier today.
“The victim was not injured, however is understandably shaken by today’s events and is being supported by officers.
“Anyone with information is encouraged to get in touch, no matter how insignificant you may deem it.”
