TENBURY firefighters have collected £1,000 in the town centre for the families of their four Warwickshire comrades who died in the warehouse fire near Stratford-upon-Avon.
The sum was raised in four hours on Saturday, November 17, by a handful of off-duty Tenbury firefighters.
Benevolent fund representative Dan James said: "Tenbury people were very generous. We are very pleased with the amount which will go to the special fund set up to give the families immediate help and in the longer term to go towards a memorial."
