A TREE has been planted by Dunham Massey WI members are part of centenary celebrations.
Ten hardy volunteers and photographer Paul Butterworth were met by head gardener Emily Chandler for the ceremony.
The WI has longstanding links with Dunham Massey as Lady Penelope, Countess of Stamford, was their founder and first president.
The tree, a rare magnolia named Biondii, came from Dunham's Devon nursery and the event will be commemorated in a memorial book at the Manor House later in the year.
