A WOMAN who rang police to tell them she had been involved in a minor crash with a parked car and road sign has lost her driving licence.

When police turned up and breathalysed 44-year-old Lisa Fazackerley at she was found to be over the drink drive limit.

Shazia Aslam, prosecuting, told Bolton magistrates how Fazackerley, of Roscow Avenue, Bolton, had been involved in the collision on Bury Road at 10.30am on December 21 and called police an hour later to report it.

Fazackerley admitted having a lot to drink the night before, stopping drinking at 1.30am.

The breath test revealed she had 40 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 ml of breath when the legal limit is 35 microgrammes. The mum pleaded guilty to drink driving in her Honda CRV.

She told magistrates: "If I'd thought I was over the limit I would have never driven the car. I'm really sorry. I honestly didn't think I was over the limit."

Magistrates banned Fazackerley from driving for 12 months and also fined her £300 plus £117 in costs.
