PRIZES will be up for grabs this Christmas for eagle-eyed Malvern Hills residents who can guess where in the district an elf is hiding.

Visit The Malverns has teamed up with a number of attractions and accommodation providers to offer Christmas gifts, afternoon teas and fun days out as part of a festive Facebook competition.

During the Christmas Advent Calendar prize draw, a photograph will be posted on the Visit The Malverns Facebook page every day until Christmas Day.

To take part, people will be asked to guess exactly where in the district the elf is sitting and comment their answer. Anyone who successfully answers one of more of the correct locations will be included in the prize draw.

Each week leading up to Christmas, there will be five lucky winners with a total of 15 prizes available across three draws.

“We hope everyone will get in the festive spirit and take part in the first ever Christmas Advent Calendar Prize Draw” said Victoria Carman, Visitor Economy Officer at Malvern Hills District Council.

“We are so thankful for all the generous local businesses and attractions that have come together to provide the prizes,”

The initiative is part of the work being undertaken to encourage more people to visit the Malvern Hills area that include Tenbury and the Teme Valley.

Tourism is a very important part of the local economy supporting many jobs and businesses throughout the year.

This includes hotels, bed and breakfast establishments, pubs and restaurants as well as the shops and visitor attractions.

Tenbury has its own visitor information centre in Teme Street that is open throughout the year and staffed by a team of volunteers.
