WITH a chill in the air, and the rain falling down, winter is the perfect time to curl up with a good book.
Young people in Tenbury are being encouraged to get reading over the holiday period.
The Winter Mini Challenge encourages children to read at least three books during the winter.
They’re then asked to upload the details of the books they have read to their online profile and write a short review for each one.
The challenge will run through to Monday, January 13, 2020, providing plenty of opportunities for cosy winter nights on the sofa.
Tenbury Library will be on hand to help children find their favourite three books to read and to share their reviews.
Once three books have been read and reviewed, children will receive a virtual badge and can print off a Frozen Pugs of the North certificate to keep.
“The Winter Mini Challenge is an ideal way to keep children reading during the festive season,” said Carol Brown, library services manager with Worcestershire County Council.
“There are some lovely books to read this Christmas.”
There is more information available from the library in Teme Street.
