SAPEY Golf and Country Club Ladies section throughout their season, raised money for the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB), one of the UK's leading sight loss charities and the largest community of blind and partially sighted people.

The RNIB recognise everyone's unique experience of sight loss and offer help and support for blind and partially sighted people. This can be anything from practical and emotional support, campaigning for change, reading services and the products they offer through their online shop.

Everyday 250 people begin to lose their sight. RNIB has a crucial role to play in creating a world where there are no barriers to people with sight loss.

The Lady Captain, Wendy Newsom, this charity was very close to heart having worked in the industry for many years and wanted to raise £3000 to support an Adult Talking Book.

With fund raising from home made produce, to guessing the weight of a pig, raffles and auctions £3000 was raised and presented to the RNIB on November 28 at the club.

The new charity for the year for the new Lady Captain, Tory Brettell, is 'Help 4 Hero's' and again will be hosting and organising events to surpass her target of £3000.
