FIREFIGHTERS are becoming increasingly concerned about car parking in a north Herefordshire village and said it could cost lives.
Leintwardine Fire Service posted photos on Facebook of cars parked alongside the narrow roads close to the station, and in an emergency could delay crews.
Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service's Group Commander urged people to think about their parking.
"Inconsiderate parking can cause delays by obstructing emergency vehicles," Stuart Crebbin said.
"Emergency vehicles need more space than an average car so please think before your park.
"If you would struggle to fit a van or car through parked cars, then it is extremely unlikely that a fire engine or another emergency vehicle will get through.
"Every second counts when someone needs your help so please think about how and where you park."
Advice from the fire service reminds people to only park on one side in narrow streets.
