The Harp Inn in Old Radnor will be holding Harpfest, a midsummer festival this weekend, June 21 to 23, in aid of St Michael's Hospice and the local church.

The weekend offers a line-up designed to appeal to a wide range of musical tastes, starting with a concert tomorrow evening in St Stephen's Church from the renowned Village Quire, performing their new show, Songs for Silas, inspired by HE Bates's My Uncle Silas stories.

There will also be a games night with darts and quoits competitions in The Harp on the Friday evening.

Saturday features an all day programme of live music from local bands including Puffer, Sundown Jazz, the Barebacks, Tyler Massey Trio, Sould and Shop Front Heroes (Tom Jaques who plays in Shop Front Heroes lives in Old Radnor and has handpicked the performers for the show). Also appearing are Bristol-based Dusk Brothers who play American swamp blues on self-built instruments

Sunday presents an opportunity for more local bands including youngsters to showcase their talents in our Battle of the Bands
