Arts Alive presents The Chef Show, from Ragged Edge Productions, written by Nick Ahad from an original idea by Stefan Escreet. Last year, it won the Rural Touring Award for Best Stage Performance of the Year and is funded by Arts Council England.

In a fusion of play and cookery demonstration, two actors play all the roles in the behind-the-scenes story of a busy night in the local curry house. Alongside the drama, inspired by interviews with real people in the trade, the actors are joined on stage by a chef from a local business - offering a spicy cookery demonstration.

Reviews for The Chef Show have included: “A stroke of genius. While it makes serious and urgent points that speak to the divisive times in which we are currently living, the play is also very funny. Humour, food and empathy – a potent and winning combination.” The Yorkshire Post

The Chef Show includes a chance to share food and conversation with a local chef and the cast, promising a deliciously entertaining evening for the whole family!

Catch it at Clungunford Parish Hall on Sunday, June 2 with guest chef from Raza's in Craven Arms. For full details and to book online, visit
