POLICE have been called to a reports of a swan on the A27.
The bird was found wandering along the busy main road near Lewes.
On closer inspection, the bird was found to have a leg injury.
It was passed on to the East Sussex Wildlife Rescue and Ambulance Service.
Sussex Roads Police said the incident was “peak Hot Fuzz” – a reference to the hit comedy film starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.
The film about police in a sleepy rural village features a man who calls 999 to report an escaped swan.
