Arts Alive audiences were thrilled a few years back by Canadian singer-songwriter Ian Sherwood, who played to full houses. Now he’s back in the UK and has fitted in a couple of gigs for Shropshire venues.
Armed with a saxophone, guitar, looping pedal and a voice that won him a Canadian Folk Music Award for contemporary singer of the year, Ian Sherwood has charmed his way across Canada and the UK with his unique brand of genre-shifting music and stage show.
A natural storyteller with a timeless sound, his influences are some of the best folk/pop/country singer-songwriters; from Bruce Springsteen to Tom Petty to Ryan Adams.
There’s already a buzz around Ian Sherwood’s shows: don’t miss a great evening’s entertainment at Clungunford Parish Hall (01588 660152) at 7.30pm on Thursday, May 16 or at Shipton Village Hall (01694 771790) at 7.30pm on Saturday, May 18. For online booking, go to artsalive.co.uk
