A SMALL group met on Thursday, April 25 to name the section of footpaths running three miles from Stanton Lacy to Elm Lodge on Fishmore Road, Ludlow.
The footpaths were named after and were in memory of William Charles Williams and the event, on April 25, marked 104 years to the day of his death.
Williams was born in 1880 in Gravel Hill, Ludlow when it was in Stanton Lacy Parish and he died with valour during the First World War receiving a posthumous Victoria Cross.
The ceremony was led by the Reverend Justin Parker, Vicar of Bromfield and other parishes.
