NEWNHAM Bridge local, Hannah Fletcher, has recently embarked on an impressive fundraising challenge.

Hannah, who has lived in the Tenbury Wells area for all of her life, plans to complete four races throughout March and April to raise money for Lindridge St Lawrence CE Primary School.

A shortage of funding has meant that the school has not been able to invest in new technology and Hannah hopes to raise enough money to buy at least one computer for the school.

She said "I have suffered from dyslexia since starting school and even struggle to do my children's home work.

"It has recently come to my attention that my daughters may also need extra support at school. This will benefit all those in need and help to make their school life a little easier".

Hannah has been training hard in preparation for the races which are the 30km Rhayader Round the Lakes race, the Shrewsbury 10K, the Greater Manchester Marathon and the Storm the Castle Duathlon in Ludlow.

Commenting on her training schedule Hannah said "Training is very hard to fit in as I run my own business and have four children. Running around with after school clubs and family life I find my self asleep by 9.30pm most nights but I'm a strong woman and I know I can do this".

Hannah has set herself a fundraising target of £1000 and set up a JustGiving page to help her reach her goal. If you would like to support her please visit justgiving.com/crowdfunding/hannahfletcher1984

Alternately, you can drop a donation in a marked envelope at the school.
