HowTheLightGetsIn, the world’s largest philosophy and music festival gathering Nobel Prize winners, politicians and comedians together with the hottest music performers, has announced a selection of the music acts appearing at this year's festival, which runs from Friday, May 24 to Sunday, May 27, with folk-rock and pop troubador Donovan announced today as an addition to the line-up. Also announced today are Joolz Jones (grandson of Brian Jones of the Rolling Stones), Brit, Grammy and Mercury nominated Zero 7 DJ set and singer-songwriter Roo Panes.

These new artists join a 10th anniversary line up that also includes double Mercury Prize and Brit Award nominee Anna Calvi, who burst onto the music scene in 2011 with her award winning debut album. Anna Calvi's spectacular live performances, with her operatic voice and virtuoso guitar playing, have left audiences spellbound: hardly surprising that she has since collaborated with everyone from Noah and the Whale to Morrissey, along with art-rock legend Brian Eno who described Calvi as 'the best thing since Patti Smith.'

Also headlining the festival are unique indie outfit British Sea Power, who boast admirers from Lou Reed to David Bowie. British Sea Power have played everywhere from the Great Wall of China to underground CERN atomic research labs, with the intensity and invention of their shows earning them Time Out magazine’s Live Band of the Year award.

Irresistible electro swing duo The Correspondents, consistently ranked in The Telegraph’s top ten Glastonbury moments for their flamboyant stage presence and visually bonkers mash up of all things dance, will return to HowTheLightGetsIn for what promises to be a unique party.

Every year since 2009, the majestic Blaenavon Male Voice Choir have closed the festival, and the 10th anniversary year will be no different as Wales’s premier choir take the stage for a wonderfully magic performance.

Secret location adventurers Alfresco Disco will return as resident curators of the Riverside Disco for an extraordinary beat-driven bash; and that’s not to mention academic-turned-superstar DJ Ewan Pearson, who brings his genre defying beats fresh from the dancefloors of Ibiza. Further additions also include rising stars CoCo and the Butterfields.

HowTheLightGetsIn will feature more than 200 events, including over 80 debates and talks alongside 100 musicians and performers, comedians as well as banquets, film, parties, cabaret and more.
