Bestselling author Barbara Erskine will talk about and sign copies of her new novel, The Ghost Tree, at the Lion Ballroom on Tuesday, October 30.

The inspiration for The Ghost Tree lies in Barbara Erskine’s own personal history – stretching back to the days of Thomas Erskine, her great grandfather, five times removed. Once again, the Sunday Times bestselling author brings the past to life in vivid, spellbinding colour.

When Ruth returns home after a long exile she faces the task of sorting out her late father’s affairs, and finds a diary; within the pages a story unravels and a ghost within the family tree emerges, one which Ruth cannot ignore.

Before you follow the path into your family’s history, beware of the secrets you may find…

The event has been arranged by newly opened bookshop, Rossiter Books. Their branch in Drapers Lane Leominster opened in the summer and has been welcomed by locals who have loved the choice of books and the friendly customer service. Rossiter Books trade in Ross on Wye and Monmouth as well, and in both towns they have an exciting and busy author events programme. The event with Barbara Erskine will be their first for Leominster, and plans are afoot for many more to follow.

Tickets cost £5 each and entitle customers to £3 off the book at the event. Tickets are available from Rossiter Books Leominster (01568 611766). Further details can be found on the website rossiterbooks.co.uk.
