A FORMER national newspaper picture editor will be talking about his career and exhibiting his images in south Shropshire this month.

Professional photographer Paul Sanders who was a picture editor on The Times will be speaking about his work at a ‘Photography and Wellbeing’ evening at Ludlow Methodist Church on Tuesday, October 17 from 7.30 to 9.30pm.

Paul is also exhibiting his work titled ‘Solace’ at The Photo Space Gallery in 4 Castle Street, Ludlow starting from October 17.

He has been a professional photographer since 1984 and has worked for the Manchester Evening News, News Team and Reuters.

Paul joined The Times in 2002 and became Picture Editor in 2004.

At the end of December 2011, he left The Times to pursue his love of landscape photography.

He is a regular contributor to national media and photography magazines, and travels widely. Also present will be Jan and Chris from the Caravan Gallery. The Caravan Gallery is a collaboration between artists and photographers Jan Williams and Chris Teasdale to document the reality and surreality of the way we live. It is also a mobile exhibition.
