HAGLEY Place Care Home in Ludlow hosted a fabulous fashion show recently.

The dresses were loaned by resident Xenia Folkes, who is living with dementia, and were modelled by her daughter Laura 'Loopy' Folkes for staff, visitors and residents.

Xenia had acquired the collection over her life time and when she moved into Hagley Place, she had to leave her collection behind.

Dresses shown were from famous designers: Katherine Walker, Victor Edelstein, Jacques Azagury, Veronica Moncho Lobo and Collette Dinnigan.

Xenia Folkes, resident, said, "It was lovely to see all of my dresses being shown, they hold good memories and I'm glad they have brought smiles to others. Most of the dresses were for cocktail parties but the Victors were for important meetings."

Loopy Folkes, Xenia's daughter, said, "I can remember Mum wearing these when she was going out to a cocktail party or a big meeting, I am happy to have been able to model them for everyone!"

Shann Thomas, general manager, said, " It was wonderful to see the dresses and listen to the stories. All of the residents, staff and visitors had a great time.
