A MEDIEVAL style badge has been revealed for a walking and cycling pilgrimage being organised by a Ludlow-based charity.
The Ludlow Palmers, who raise money for the repair Ludlow's St Laurence Church - the cathedral of the Marches - is organising a six mile walk and 30 mile cycle ride 'pilgrimage' from Ludlow to Hereford Cathedral on the May 28, Bank Holiday Monday.
Everyone who takes part will receive a badge of Hereford Cathedral's own medieval saint.
The badge has been specially designed by Canon Sandy Elliott of Hereford Cathedral and represents Thomas de Cantilupe, Lord Chancellor of England and Bishop of Hereford who was canonised in 1320.
The walk and cycle ride will leave Ludlow at 10am on May 28 and arrive at Hereford Cathedral at 3.30pm.
After the awarding of badges, a cream tea will be served at the cathedral.
Coaches will return participants to Ludlow.
