WALCOT Stables and Livery Yard in Lydbury North welcomed riders and horses to a clinic recently.

The idea of a Flatwork Clinic is to work with horses using poles on the ground, encouraging riders to develop the straightness and suppleness of their mount.

In addition, the stables will be running other regular events for adults and children, with a loyalty scheme for regular riders, together with jumping competitions, dressage and quizzes.

The Walcot Young Riders Club will be launched in the Easter holidays for children over the age of four with pony care, pony craft, riding and social events all regular dates in the holidays and at weekends.

No subscription is needed and you don't need to own a horse of your own.

The Walcot instructors are Sue Bickford who has a foundation degree in equine studies and is the yard manager and Eva Dutton who also has a Stage 4 qualification in stable management.
