ALLAN Lloyd has been elected the 49th president of the Probus Club of the city of Hereford.
The Probus Club of the city of Hereford was founded in 1969, the first to be formed in the city, and among the earliest in the country.
The centre jewel on the chain of office bears the coat of arms of Hereford city.
The club is non-political, non-sectarian and non profit making, and supports local charities.
It meets Thursdays at 10.30am at The Herdsman in Widemarsh Street.
The present senior members of the Probus Club are Gus Edwards and Bernard Bray who joined over 25 years ago.
