A former Church Stretton landlady has just finished exhibiting her paintings at the town’s library. Elsie Brooks, who used to run The Vaults in the town with her husband displayed 43 acrylic paintings at the library.
Winer scenes, wildlife and Japanese landscapes were just three of the subjects painting by Elsie. Elsie is pictured with her painting titled ‘Japanese Ideal.’
Church Stretton that is located in the shadow of the Shropshire Hills is one of the most popular towns in the country for artists.
It is also a location that is visited by photographers from all over the country.
Regular exhibitions of the work of artists, many from the local area are staged at the library throughout the year.
As Elsie Brooks knows the area is stunning all year.
