WHILST Christmas is associated with turkey and meat it does not have to be this way.

There will be a Christmas Vegetarian Cookery Course at Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre.

In the lead up to Christmas, Milly in the Pop-up kitchen will show how there is more to vegetarian cooking than nut loaf and bean feasts!

This hands-on cookery session is one way to kick-start a new way of looking at vegetarian cooking at Christmas and throughout the winter months.

Participants will learn how to use fresh flavours and combinations of ingredients to make dishes that look and taste good.

It is not necessary to be a vegetarian or a cook to take part.

The Discovery Centre runs cooking courses throughout the year.

Those taking part bring their own lunch or use the café. The cost is £35 per person to include ingredients. Booking essential for the course on Thursday, December 7 from 10am until 2pm.
