FOLLOWING the success of Emily Portman’s short December tour with her all-new big band, The Coracle Band, the singer and concertina player will complete her March tour with a date at Ludlow Assembly Rooms on Monday, March 27.

The tour will see Emily and her band expand their repertoire, playing material from all three of her albums to date, Coracle, Hatchling and The Glamoury, and it’s a must-see opportunity for Emily Portman fans as it signifies a new phase in the career of the singer and songwriter.

The tour will also see Emily bid farewell to one of her longest standing collaborators, as singer and harpist, Rachel Newton, leaves to concentrate on her own burgeoning solo career.

"It’s been such a privilege to work with Rachel over the years. I’ll treasure the music we’ve made together and all the adventures we’ve had," says Emily. ‘I’ll really notice Rachel’s absence in my songs, but I’m proud to see her focus on her own wonderful music, which richly deserves the praise it’s receiving."

"I’ve had such a fantastic time with Emily, touring and recording as part of the Trio and The Coracle Band,’ Rachel agrees, ‘but I look forward to continuing our musical relationship through The Furrow Collective."
