READER Maurice Bracher sent in this study of a wood mouse, which had appeared to share his picnic space.
Also known as the field mouse, wood mice are primarily seed eaters but they may also eat small invertebrates such as snails and insects. They also consume berries, fruits, and roots.
Maurice did not reveal what he was enjoying for his picnic but this particular mouse looked willing to share, whatever it was.
