THERE will be a chance to purchase plants in Ludlow tomorrow (Saturday, May 21).

Plants that have been home grown by people in Ludlow will be for sale in Broad Street.

The first plant sale was in 2010, just to brighten up the street but since then it has grown.

Held every year since it now includes teas, coffees and cakes; also jams and chutneys and this year will include books and CDs.

Last year the sale raised £580 and will hopefully do even better this year.

Local charities benefit and this year the South Shropshire Furniture Scheme based in Ludlow will get 75 per cent of the takings with the remainder retained to be distributed to different local charities during the coming 12 months. Do come back to me if you need anything else.

The sale in Broad Street will take place throughout the day.
