I SHARE my time between the bright lights of the big city of London and Ludlow, both of which have their virtues.
There is something above and beyond that Ludlow has that London can’t have because of its size.
That is the friendly face of local service as recently shown by the opticians that repaired my glasses gratis, the cobblers that go above and beyond, the garage that excels, the drainage man that wades through effluent with a smile on his face, the lady in the market that creates incredible vegetarian food.
And whoever handed in my wife’s phone to the supermarket complete with cash, cards and contents.
