THE choice of programme for Ludlow Choral Society's Fourth of July concert was an easy one - Songs from the New World.
The programme will offer an exciting evening as the choir perform a selection of pieces chosen from the wide variety of musical styles created by composers from the USA.
The music will range across rousing choruses from Oklahoma, well-loved melodies from West Side Story, the subtle close harmonies of the barbershop, the soulful tunes of spirituals and a sparkling piano solo – Steve Dunachie playing George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue.
The concert takes place on Saturday, July 4 at 7 .30pm in St. Laurence’s Church, Ludlow when the choir will be conducted by music director, Patrick Larley.
Tickets are available from Ludlow Assembly Rooms on 01584 878141 or online at ludlowassemblyrooms.co.uk.
