CHILDREN from a south Shropshire craft club have been helping to spruce up a a scruffy scarecrow.
Members of the Crafty Kids Club from the Shropshire Children's Scrapstore Recycling and Resource Centre, known as 'Scrappies', are coming to the rescue of the much-loved but dishevelled scarecrow at Acton Scott Historic Working Farm.
"The scarecrow was beginning to frighten the customers as well as the birds and we have asked Scrappies to lend a hand," said Acton Scott's Suzy Gibson.
Club members Tae and Oka Richards, Ariti Samoilis and Lucy Grafton, have been working on a new coat for the scarecrow which can be seen on display at the farm from tomorrow (Saturday May 30).
