ARTISTS have been learning how to make models of people from paper.

They have been learning at one of a series of courses run by Tenbury artist Anne Wallace.

The artist and art teacher, who comes from Lancashire, arrived in Tenbury from the north of England last year and since then she has thrown herself into the local community.

There is rarely a dull or quiet moment for the 43-year-old former deputy head teacher, horse lover and artist.

She has been actively involved in work to help improve St Michael’s Village Hall as well as running her own business as an artist and tutor.

Her great passion is making things from glass and this includes making stained glass windows and artefacts which are sold both on-line and at various craft events.

Her most unusual object in glass is perhaps a representation of a male torso made for a gay customer from New York.

She also runs regular workshops at which people can learn a range of art skills including glass making and engraving.

But her most recent course has been about how to use paper to make 3D models of people.

When she is not in the workshop Ann will be in her stables where she has her hands full looking after her own horses and others that she has stabled for other people.
