YOUNGSTERS at a school near Tenbury have been asking for more.
The pupils of Abberley Hall School starred in their own spectacular version of the award-winning show Oliver!, based on the Dickens novel Oliver Twist.
Victoria Beswick, head of marketing at Abberley Hall, which educates around 300 children, said that everyone enjoyed the production, which features music and lyrics by Lionel Bart.
“Oliver! is something of a masterpiece and we worked very hard to make our version of this show very special,” she said.
Oliver! premiered in the West End in 1960 and enjoyed long and successful runs in London and Broadway, with various tours and revivals. It was made into a musical film in 1968.
Mrs Beswick said that all 12 and 13-year-old pupils at the school either performed on stage or worked as part of the front of house, sound or lighting teams.
