IF you are looking for a special night out on February 14, how about a romantic movie?
Ludlow Assembly Rooms is showing Like Water for Chocolate (15), from the book of the same name by Laura Esquivel, a wonderful story of romance and cooking.
Set in Mexico, it's the story of Tita, who desperately wants to marry her childhood sweetheart. Unfortunately her desires are thwarted by her mother, who wants Tita to stay at home and look after her. Poor Tita lavishes all her unfulfilled love onto her cooking - with some very surprising results.
The title comes from a Mexican expression about water for making hot chocolate, which is kept at a constant simmer - like Tita's passions.
Romantic and funny, this is a perfect film for St Valentine's day. To book call the box office on 01584 878141.
