IT'S all happening for staff and pupils at Ludlow Infant School this month - not only have they received a glowing Ofsted report but 42 new pupils have come in and the headteacher has announced her retirement in July.
The school was visited by Ofsted inspectors on January 9 and 10. The inspectors praised its continuous commitment to improvement and the teachers' interesting and exciting lessons.
They also praised the way "the staff work together as a team and go out of their way to ensure that all pupils are included in all activities".
The report added: "This is a good school which is highly successful in giving parents every opportunity to be involved in their children's learning."
Meanwhile, retiring headteacher Anne Weller, who has been at the school for more than 12 years, now intends to take a "gap year" and do some travelling.
"I have two grown-up children and they both had a gap year when they travelled and worked abroad - now it's my turn. My husband and I would like to visit New Zealand and then we'll take it from there.
"I've enjoyed doing this immensely and I cannot think of any other job I would rather have been doing."
