A GLIMPSE of life in Bishops Castle 100 years ago has been provided at a commemorative exhibition.
The exhibition looking at life in the town has been staged at the newly refurbished town all.
Members of the south west Shropshire Historical and Archaeological Society, Bishop's Castle Church and Bishop's Castle Heritage Resource Centre have got together to display objects, photographs and documents relating to the countdown to the war, the first battles, early war poetry and illustrations of life in the town from 1914 -18.
In addition, preliminary results of research work on the biographies of Bishop's Castle men who fought in the war and did not return were on show.
