ON September 20, the Ludlow branch of the RNLI held a collection at the doors of Tesco in Ludlow. The committee and I would be most grateful for a small space in your newspaper to reach as many people to offer our thanks.
Our chairman Garth Ridgers arrived early at the Tesco store in Ludlow to set up for the collection where many volunteers stood from 9am to late, collecting for this very worthy cause. We want to thank everyone for the support we received, young and old alike, an amazing £533 was collected. Our grateful thanks to Tesco and their staff for allowing us to collect on the day, their support as always first class.
We are often asked, “why in a land locked county” the RNLI rely on small committees like ours to address the lack of funding.
The busiest lifeboat station is on the river Thames and let’s not forget the expertise they provided to the residents of Tewkesbury not very long ago.
We never know when we will need their help.
Join the RNLI today. Please.
