AFTER 2017’s record-breaking Bournemouth pantomime, (Jack and the Beanstalk) organisers of this year’s production are hoping for another fairy tale ending with Sleeping Beauty.

Tickets are now on sale and details of two specially adapted performances at Bournemouth Pavilion have been confirmed.

Actress Jennifer Ellison will play the wicked fairy, Carabosse, for the first five days while ex-EastEnders star Rita Simons is in the jungle for I’m A Celebrity.

Other pantomime favourites include Olivia Birchenough (Milkshake!) as Princess Briar Rose and Noel Brodie as Silly Billy. Joining them will be Sarah-Jane Buckley (Hollyoaks) as the Good Fairy and David Ball as Nursie.

David says Bournemouth is his favourite venue for panto. “I’ve done panto here for three years now, it’s great to be here over Christmas, there’s a real sense of festivity, the theatre is fab! I love all of the staff there, they’re brilliant! It’s a lot of fun, Bournemouth is a great place to be over Christmas.”

The 2.30pm matinee performance on Saturday, December 15 will be a British Sign Language Interpreted performance.

Customers are advised to speak with staff when booking tickets to ensure that they are seated in the correct location.

This year’s relaxed performance will be on Wednesday, December 19 at 10.30am. This is a specially adapted performance for those who may benefit from a more relaxed environment including those with autism and dementia, as well as very young children.

Sleeping Beauty runs from Saturday, December 8 to Sunday, January 6, with performances at 2.30pm and 7pm. Tickets: £16.50 to £22.50

Sponsors of Sleeping Beauty, Hot Rocks Restaurant and Bar, will offer a kid’s meal for just £1 for every ticket sold. To book, call 0844 576 3000 or visit bhlivetickets.co.uk.
