Rihanna has said she is “honoured” after Brad Pitt and Jimmy Kimmel signed up to be masters of ceremonies at her Diamond Ball.
The event, to be held in The Vineyard in Beverly Hills on December 11, will mark the singer’s first annual charity ball in aid of Rihanna’s Clara Lionel Foundation (CLF).
Comedian Jimmy is to host the fundraiser while Brad will introduce the Stay singer at the gala.
Rihanna broke the news on Twitter.
She added in a statement: “It is such an honour to have Jimmy Kimmel host this event. There is no one more hilarious to make the first annual Diamond Ball an incredible night. I’m blessed by his support. Brad Pitt is not only a phenomenal talent, but I admire him and am inspired by his philanthropic work.”
CLF, named in honour of Rihanna’s grandparents Clara and Lionel Brathwaite, works to improve the lives of underserved communities worldwide in the areas of health, education, the arts and culture.
Rihanna helped found The Clara Brathwaite Centre for Oncology and Nuclear Medicine at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in her native Barbados after witnessing her grandmother’s battle with cancer.
The Diamond Ball – expected to be attended by around 600 guests – will raise money to go towards the facility’s 2.4 million dollar (£1.5 million) improvement initiative.
