A KEITH Price Garages Employee is runner-up in National Peugeot Apprentice of the Year awards.

Matthew Taylor, who is a parts and service advisor at Keith Price Garage, was honoured at a recent event at Coombe Abbey in Coventry by Peugeot UK.

He was awarded runner-up in the National Apprentice of the year awards for his achievements as a parts apprentice.

Matthew has completed a level three modern apprenticeship for both parts and service advisors over the last two years and was nominated by his Peugeot Academy assessor for his commitment and enthusiasm to his course.

The citation praised Matthew for completing all his apprenticeship elements to a very high standard and in record time.

The programme involves completing courses, assessments and examinations both on line and at the Peugeot Academy based in Coventry , as well as on the job assessment by his managers and the Peugeot team.

After being shortlisted from applicants across the UK, Matthew had to attend a further full day assessment where his skills and knowledge of his job role and product were assessed by practical activities, interviews and role plays.

Matthew says he felt both honoured at being nominated for the award, and was proud to even to be shortlisted.

Matthew came 2nd coming in the elite 3% in the UK.
