NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER

TORFAEN COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL

DIVERSION OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 21 AT KING STREET BLAENAVON

On 6 August 2018 Torfaen County Borough Council Confirmed the above Order.

The effect of the Order as Confirmed will be to divert Public Footpath 21 commencing at its junction with King Street (GR ST3251 0915), 16 metres south east of the property known as 49 King Street, then proceeding in a south south-westerly direction for 33 metres or thereabouts to its junction with Upper Waun Street (GR ST2518 0912). The total length of the path to be diverted is 33 metres or thereabouts. An alternative route will be created commencing at its junction with King Street (GR ST3252 0915), 25 metres south east of the property known as 49 King Street and proceeding in a south south-westerly direction for 14 metres, then south west for 21 metres where it joins with Upper Waun Street (GR ST3025 9868). The length of the alternative route is approximately 35 metres and is as shown on the Order Map.

A copy of the Confirmed Order and the Order Map may be seen free of charge at Torfaen County Borough Council, Ty Blaen Torfaen, Panteg Way, New Inn, Pontypool from 08.30 a.m. – 5.00 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 08.30 a.m. – 4.30 p.m. on Friday. Copies of the Order and the map may be bought there at the price of £3.00.

The Order comes into force on 9 August 2018 but if any person aggrieved by the Order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Confirmation of the Order, he or she may apply to the high Court for any of these purposes under Section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within 6 weeks from the date on which notice is first published as required by paragraph 7 of Schedule 14 to that Act.
