Mae Cyngor Sir Ddinbych, gan weithredu yn rhinwedd ei swydd fel awdurdod diogelu'r arfordir, drwy hyn yn rhoi hysbysiad o dan adran 5(1) o'r Ddeddf uchod ei fod yn bwriadu gwneud gwaith diogelu'r arfordir ar dir ar hyd tir blaen arfordirol Y Rhyl rhwng Splash Point a gyferbyn a Pharc Drifft.
Bydd y gwaith yn cynnwys:
* Adeiladu oddeutu 1.45km o ddeunyddiau atal erydu carreg ac atgyweiriadau concrid i'r asedau amddiffyniad arfordirol presennol o Splash Point i'r SeaQuarium. Byddai'r deunyddiau atal erydu carreg yn cynnwys gosod cerrig mawr ar waelod y strwythurau amddiffyn arfordirol presennol.

* Adeiladu oddeutu 750m o wal gynnal grisiog concrid newydd, o'r SeaQuarium i bwynt gyferbyn a Pharc Drifft.

* Mynedfeydd grisiog newydd i gerddwyr i'r traeth trwy wal gynnal grisiog concrid, i ddisodli'r mynedfeydd presennol ac ymestyn mynedfeydd presennol y traeth trwy deunyddiau atal erydu carreg.

* Codi/lledu'r promenad a wal amddiffyn mor ar gefn y promen§d.

* Ymestyn y gollyngfeydd a gwaith diogelu i gollyngfeydd presennol a gaiff eu gorchuddio gan y wal gynnal newydd.

Amcangyfrifir mai cost y gwaith yw £43 miliwn.

Denbighshire County Council, acting in its capacity as coast protection authority, hereby gives notice under section 5(1) of the above Act that it proposes to carry out coast protection work at land along the coastal frontage of Rhyl between Splash Point and opposite Drift Park.

The work will consist of:
* The construction of approximately 1.45km of scour protection and concrete repairs to existing coastal defence assets from Splash Point to the SeaQuarium. The scour protection will consist of boulders being placed at the base of the existing coastal defence structures.

* The construction of approximately 750m of new concrete stepped revetment, from the SeaQuarium to opposite Drift Park.

* New pedestrian beach accesses through the proposed concrete stepped revetment to replace the existing ones and extension of existing beach accesses through the rock scour protection.

* Promenade raising and a sea defence wall at the rear of the promenade.

* The extension of outfalls and protection works to existing outfalls that would be covered by the new revetment.
The estimated cost of the work is £43 million.

Any person may object to the proposed work by serving on the National Assembly for Wales and on the Council, no later than Wednesday 1 June 2022, notice of objection to the proposal.
Any notice of objection to the proposal must state the grounds of the objection and may be delivered by hand, sent by pre-paid post or sent by fax or e-mail, so as to be received no later than the date specified above, to the Water, Flood and Coal Tips Division, Welsh Government, Crown Buildings, Cathays Park, Cardiff CF10 3NQ (email: FloodCoastalRisk@gov.wales) and to the Chief Executive of Denbighshire County Council, County Hall, Wynnstay Road, Ruthin, LL151YN.
