SECTION 14 - THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 NOTICE OF TRAFFIC ORDERS FOR TEMPORARY ROAD/ FOOTPATH CLOSURES AND RESTRICTIONS

Notice is given that SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL intend to make the following temporary orders: (STRDDD287 Radnor Street, Swindon) This Order is being introduced to allow works to adjacent building and will prohibit pedestrians from proceeding on the footway outside Radnor Street and the walkway between Radnor Street/William and suspension of the resident parking bay outside No 40 Radnor Street. Pedestrians to be diverted via Radnor Street, Stanmore Street and William Street. The Order will come into force on the 7 February 2022 for 6 months but it is expected the restrictions will only be in place between the 7 February 2022 to 15 April 2022.

(STR000293 Eastrop, Highworth) This Order is being introduced to allow Openreach to carry out fibre cabling works and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Eastrop between Brewery Street and Fresden Lane. Traffic to be diverted via A361 from Highworth to Lechlade and A417 Lechlade Road from Lechlade to Faringdon.

The Order will come into force on the 1 February 2022 for 6 months but works are scheduled to take place between the times of 9:30 to 15:30 on the 1 February 2022 only. (STR000295 Queens Road, Hannington) This Order is being introduced to allow Thames Water to install new pipeline and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Queens Road, Hannington to Swanborough from The Freke Arms to the entrance road of St Johns Baptist Church. Traffic will be diverted as follow:

Southside from junction of B4019 to A419 Turnpike interchange north to Culcott & then south on A419 to Seven Bridges. Through Castle Eaton & Kempsford High Street to Hannington Wick Nell Hill & Hannington on Queens Road. North side via Hannington Queens Road to Nell Hill Hannington Wick onto High Street Hannington. South on A419 at Seven Bridges to Turnpike & east on B4019 to Swanborough. The Order will come into force on the 14 February 2022 for 6 months but it is expected works will take place between 14 February 2022 to 14 March 2022. (STR00D304 Highworth Road, South Marston) This Order is being introduced to allow telecom poles to be installed and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Highworth Road outside the allotments north of the junction with Quarrybrook Close. Traffic will be diverted via Thornhill Road, A420, A419, Rat Trap Roundabout, Highworth Road and Supermarine Road and/or Supermarine Road, Highworth Road, A361, A419, A420 and Thornhill Road. The Order will come into force on the 28 February 2022 for 6 months but it is expected works will take place overnight only between the times of 20:00 to 06:00 on 28 February to 4 March 2022. (STRD00303 Hughes Street, Swindon) This Order is being introduced to allow drainage repair works and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Hughes Street from the junction with Rodbourne Road. Access to Hughes Street will be via Summer Street and Morrison Street. The Order will come into force on the 21 February 2022 for 6 months but works are scheduled to take place between 21 to 25 February 2022.
