BETTY FLORENCE NEWPORT (nee JONES) 1928 - 2020 It is with much sadness that we announce the death of our dear eldest Sister Betty Newport. Betty died in a Nursing Home in Nelson, New Zealand, after a long illness, aged 91. Betty was born in Tenbury Wells, in April 1928. She joined the WRAF in 1946 for two years and later emigrated to New Zealand to join the New Zealand Air Force. Betty married Tom Newport in 1953 and they had three boys David, Christopher and Richard. Betty and Tom enjoyed a long, healthy, happy life together in New Zealand. Betty always had a smile to share and she will be greatly missed by all her Family and Friends around the world. God bless you Betty. Trevor, Richard, Chris, Gwen and Frances.
