IWOULD like to echo the comments made by B F Reece in February 9 edition of the Advertiser.

It's time to realise and accept Tenbury desperately needs and, would greatly benefit from a large supermarket – how many more times do we all need to say that the town needs people to stay and shop in Tenbury – not do a weekly commute elsewhere.

How many of you reading this now, who are opposed to the new supermarket proposal, can put hand on heart and say every week of every month you do all of your shopping in Tenbury and never have the need to shop elsewhere? I doubt very few. And those of you who can say yes are not enough to be of any great benefit to Tenbury's economy, sorry.

We all need to pump a surge of fresh blood into Tenbury's faint and fading beating heart, and I truly believe this will be possible by accepting and welcoming a large supermarket chain to the town.
