AFC Ludlow move to top of Mercian League with win over Telford

AFC Ludlow have gone top of the Mercian League after a 2-0 home win over Telford Juniors.
But it was not such a great day for the town’s rugby club who went down 38-5 at Stoke in Midlands One West as their disappointing start to the campaign goes on.
There were happier times in Tenbury, however, where United saw off Mahal Reserves 3-1.
And the rugby club moved through to the third round of the Midlands Junior Vase with a 35-10 win over Warley.
