Ludlow beaten by Stratford-on-Avon but footballers win at Whitchurch

ALTHOUGH they are still left searching for their first Midlands One West win of the season, Ludlow closing in on that success after a narrow 19-13 home reverse against Stratford.

There was heartache for Cleobury Mortimer, who were beaten 27-14 at Handsworth, while it was even worse for Tenbury who lost by just two points, 27-25 at Five Ways OE.

Clee Hill, though, provided a bright spot with a 3-0 over Uttoxeter.

On a bad day for Tenbury, United were beaten 5-4 at Riverway but AFC Ludlow continue to up the pressure at the top of the Mercian League with a 2-1 win at Whitchurch Allport
