Tenbury clubs enjoy an excellent Saturday with two wins

IT was a good day for Tenbury sport, both on the football and rugby pitches.

Tenbury United beat Malvern Town Res 3-2 at home in Division Two of the West Midlands League.

And Tenbury RFC are through to the second round of the Midlands Junior Vase after a 23-11 win at Claverdon.

But Bishop’s Castle handed Essington a walk over in the same competition where Clee Hill also made their exit, losing 31-12 at Warley.

It was also not such a good day for Ludlow who were beaten 26-10 at home in Midlands One West by Shropshire rivals Whitchurch.
