Scott Moran still retains MSA British Hill Climb Championship title hopes

ORLETON’S Scott Moran has kept alive his hopes of retaining the MSA British Hill Climb Championship title.

Moran won a round at Doune and now trails leader Trevor Willis by just four points with one meeting remaining.

Moran and Willis face a title shoot-out in the hill-climb season’s finale at Loton Park on September 30.

While Willis won the first run-off at Doune, he touched the barriers in the second, leaving Moran to take victory. Roger Moran was second in the first run-off and Tenbury’s Alex Summers was a creditable eighth.

Although there are 40 championship points between the top two, Willis is four ahead when dropped scores are taken into account.
